Jatinegara Regional Heads Gear Up to Reduce Malnutrition Case

Jatinegara Sub-district, East Jakarta was committed to dealing with malnutrition. The regional heads also signed an agreement to avoid the area from malnutrition case.

Jatinegara Sub-district Head, Abu Bakar said, with this signature, he and eight urban village heads were committed to the handling of nutrition. His party would keep working hard to reduce malnutrition cases in his region. One of them is through socialization, education and seminar on its citizens about nutrition.

In the meantime, East Jakarta Mayor, Bambang Musyawardana uttered adequate nutrition should be a concern for all people, particularly with toddlers.

It is because the first 1,000 days of the fetus up to the age of two years of child's nutrition should be good. Thus the child's growth could be smart and healthy.

"They must eat nutritious food. It would be nice consultation with a doctor or puskesmas, what a good food for the development of children," he stated.
